APRIL HOUR

Let's design
your website

A few gentle questions so we build the right site the first time, with less back and forth for you. You don't need to know anything about websites. Write as much or as little as you like.

What the site is for

The clearer the job, the better the site. There is no wrong answer here.

STEP 03 · OF 07

Your site map

Pick what fits you best. We'll open a suggested set of pages for your kind of business, with a note on what goes on each and which photos to send. It is a starting point, not a rule. Change anything.

A site map for a bakery or food business. Built to send people from a beautiful first look, to what you make and the price, to placing an order without fuss.

A site map for an online shop. Built to help people find a product, trust it, and buy. A full shop with a cart and card payment is a bigger build, so we'll confirm the scope and the payment setup with you before we start.

Selling online needs a way to take payment. In Sri Lanka that usually means a small setup with a payment provider. We'll walk you through the options and the costs honestly before anything is built, so there are no surprises.

PAGE 05

Contact / enquiry

How they reach you. Fill the details in step 06.

Tell us what you have in mind. Not every business needs the same shape, and some need only one strong page. Describe it in your words and we'll propose a map that fits, honestly. If a full website isn't the right spend for you, we'll say so.
IN YOUR WORDS

What you picture

The pages you think you need, or just the job the site should do. We'll shape the rest.

Site map done

Now the fun part: how it should look, and the photos that bring it to life.

The look →

STEP 04 · OF 07

The look

A few quick choices to point us the right way. After this form we'll come back with three colour options and a couple of layouts for you to pick from, so nothing is locked in yet.

Not sure? Leave it. We'll pick the pairing that suits your world and show you.

Browse one or two of these, find a whole site or just a section you love, and drop a screenshot below. A screenshot is all we need, even if a site asks you to sign in first. One line on what caught your eye helps a lot: the layout, the colours, the lettering, the big photo at the top.

Took screenshots instead? Perfect. They go into your private upload folder, the same one your photos go to. We email it to you right after you send this.
05
STEP 05 · OF 07

Your photos

Real photos of your own work always beat stock, and they are what makes a site feel like yours. Here is how to hand them over with no fuss.

Name each one for what it is, in lowercase, with little dashes between the words. So hero.jpg, garden-cake.jpg, room-deluxe-1.jpg. Please not IMG_1149.jpg. If renaming is fiddly, send them as they are and just tell us which is which. We'll sort it.

Where your files go. Photos, your logo, screenshots: none of it needs to squeeze through this form. When we receive it, we'll email you a private April Hour upload folder. You drop everything straight in, named as above, and that's it.

The clearest, largest version you have goes in that same folder, named logo.png (or .svg or .jpg).

06
STEP 06 · OF 07

Practical bits

The details that go in your footer, on your map, and on Google. Skip anything that doesn't apply, and where you're unsure, write "help me" and we will.

A website needs two free accounts behind the scenes (for hosting and for the code). There is nothing for you to do now. If you don't have them, we set them up together on a short call, and you keep every login. We never hold your passwords.
07
STEP 07 · OF 07

Anything else

Anything we didn't ask that we should know. A date you're aiming for, a worry, a must-have. This is your space.

THAT'S EVERYTHING

We'll read every word, send you your private photo folder, and come back with a proposed site map and colour options made just for you.
